Windmill Ranch provides a unique gathering place for kids and adults of all ages and abilities.
Head flower farmer, Katy, is also a pediatric occupational therapist, and for the past 25 years has treated kids in a variety of settings ranging from school, outpatient clinic, and home health. Teaming up with Total Pediatric Therapy, a clinic less than 2 miles from the Ranch, Katy is proud to offer Windmill Ranch as a novel service delivery setting. With the guidance of on-site OTs, PTs and speech therapists, kids with special needs can leave their crutches behind to climb into a saddle, get their hands messy with farm-themed sensory experiences, and use their voices to ask to pet the animals. Holding therapy in a novel setting makes goals meaningful, memorable and motivating.
Now, in addition to our seasonal “Ranch Day” events, we are proud to offer year-round enrichment programs on Thursdays! Beginning January 8, 2026, Windmill Ranch will host weekly 3-hour drop-off opportunities for kids to get immersed in a hands-on curriculum that brings science, art, and culture together in the great outdoors.
