Upcoming workshops.
We offer hands-on classes on our 12-acre homestead centered around our flower farm. Seasonal blooms are cultivated year-round, so pick your favorite season and come for a visit! Classes include supplies, a question-answer session with flower farmer, Katy, and the best part of all: full access to all the pretties in the field to cut and take home.
We offer both private and public events. Public events are open to all and have a max attendance of 24 seats. All classes are open to adults and children. ESA funds accepted! For kids events like “Meet the Chicks”, accompanying adults do not need to purchase tickets nor do children under 2 who do not wish to go home with flowers or an Easter basket.

Just in time for Easter, bring the kids to visit Windmill Ranch for this special event to meet the baby chicks and make a living Easter basket with sprouted wheat berry grass, pansies and farm fresh eggs in every color to take home! This is a kid-designed activity for children 14 years and younger.

Holiday Wreath Making
We had so much fun with this workshop that we’re offering it again another weekend!
Grab a friend and join us at beautiful Windmill Ranch to make a festive holiday wreath to adorn your door. Enjoy a delightful Sonoran desert evening outside under cover of the old hay barn while choosing from fresh greens like magnolia, juniper and pine. All supplies included: grapevine wreath, floral wire, satin ribbon, and brass bells. End the evening with sunset photographs.

Workshop FAQs

Windmill Ranch is a 12-acre family Homestead dating back to the 1950s. The ranch is home to various outbuildings, barns, gardens, horse stables, and arena. The ranch has a history of horses, livestock, citrus, and most recently, flowers. Current generations are working to bring these past chapters back in living color. Your support allows us to preserve a piece of the old West. Workshops are seated, and take place under the shade of a covered hay barn.

Guests will park in the dirt arena on Windmill Ranch. All areas are easily accessible by standard vehicles (No special 4×4 needed). We appreciate carpooling, when possible.

Amenities at Windmill Ranch are limited. An outhouse will be available for participants to use while on property during workshops and events.

The workshop includes 2 hours of instruction with hands-on activities and field access to cut from the flower garden when in bloom. A tour of the outbuildings to learn flower handling and holding procedures can also be arranged, if desired.

Bring your signed waiver. Come dressed for an authentic ranch experience! Windmill Ranch is rustic and unpaved, so please come prepared to walk on gravel, get a little dusty, and step back in time for a serene experience. That means comfortable shoes, sun protection and a water bottle.

Private Workshops
Create a memorable experience and host your friends, family, or business associates for a private flower workshop at Windmill Ranch. Brides, bring your bridesmaids and take photos among the flowers in the field. Make one of a kind floral arrangements and lasting memories. Flower Farmer Katy will walk the group through the flower garden, followed by a hands-on flower arranging experience.

To book a private workshop, you must have at least 10 people in your group, with a max of 20 people.

Includes 2 hours in and around the garden picking a bouquet, leaning how to arrange, and an optional question/answer session about growing flowers in our unique climate.

The cost of the private workshop at the Farm is $35 per person.

We Bring The Flower Party To You
Meet “Rosy,” our 1972 converted VW flower truck-buggy! She enjoys trips around town visiting new locations where she is a hit as an adorable flower bar or a one-of-a-kind photo back-drop! Contact us for details or to request a quote.
Looking for an indoor experience? We can also bring the flowers, vases, wreaths, and all the needed supplies to your home or venue. Let us set up a flower bar for your event using locally grown blooms for a unique group experience. Or have us stick around to lead a more intimate workshop for you and your friends. Our fee starts at $45/person (minimum of 10 guests per event). There is a $40 travel fee for all events outside a 20-mile radius of the ranch, and $25 per 10 miles after.
